I.Male cone

A male cone is a tool for salvaging a tube from the inside of a tube. Therefore, it is required that the salvaged tubular falling objects have a certain breaking strength. Secondly, the end face of the fish top and the inner diameter of the pipe should be basically regular so that the male cone can enter the fish top smoothly.

Male cones are often used for salvaging drill collars, drill pipe joints, drill pipe thickened parts, water holes for special tools downhole, and tubing with couplings.

The male cone has 1:12 (high-strength male cone, no chip removal groove, zigzag thread); 1:16; 1:24; 1:32 several tapers, you should choose 1:24 or 1: 32 male cone with a smaller taper.

(I)The following points must be paid attention to before using the male cone:

1.Grasp the borehole diameter of the borehole section where the fish top is located, the compression distance of the drilling tools below the fish top, etc. It is strictly forbidden to drop when the male cone is transported, and to prevent injury when it is fastened.

2.Master the inner diameter and maximum outer diameter of the fish head.

3.Male cone size, including: water eye, minimum diameter of the buckle part, maximum diameter, effective buckle length, maximum diameter of the joint. Check whether the thread fastener is intact.

4.The buckle of male cone must be more than 100㎜ behind the tip.

5.Analyze whether the tip of the male cone can enter the water eye of the fish head when the fish head and the male cone are absolutely sideways in opposite directions in the borehole diameter.

6.It is best to use the original drilling structure for salvaging complex wells.

7.According to the situation of the drilling tool being stuck in the well and the length of the free section of the drilling tool above the stuck point after being stuck, determine whether to use the safety joint. If the drill collar is salvaged, the safety joint must be used.

8.To use the safety connector, you must clean the wire buckle, clean it in pieces, and master the number of buckle and shackle loops.

9.Accurately calculate the fish top square entry and buckle square entry. If the conditions in the well allow and if necessary, the corresponding size drill bit can be used to explore the fish head before fishing.
